Hi, I\'ve experienced a problem with the combination of amaroK and gstreamer. When I use the alsasink i get... really weird sounds, except i declare my soundcard as hw:0, then I get sound that sounds similar to the song I\'m playing but\'s extremely choppy.
Okay, so I think, I\'ve got an working dmix set up, why don\'t you use ossink, and yay, it works. But when I use ossink and gstreamer (both versions mentioned in the topic) the fade doesn\'t work. The first song fades out pretty but the fading in of the second song doesn\'t - it\'s on the volume level of the fade in\'s start and jumps to full volume after a few seconds - i read in this forum that this problem was very common, already known and the bug already reported. But there is another thing I discovered - when I play an vorbis audio the fading works fine (combination: fade out - mp3, fade in - vorbis, doesn\'t work the other way round). I guess this is a problem of gstreamer or of the interface between gstreamer and amaroK... anyone knows a workaround or whether it\'ll be fixed in 1.3? I\'d like to use amaroK for radio streaming, since it\'s pretty... well... it\'s like it\'s been made for it... but streaming w/out fading? naaaah... |
