I\'ve had this problem in both amarok 1.2.4 and 1.3beta2. I\'m using kubuntu 5.04. When adding flac files to the playlist, it will take forever, to add to the playlist, while it will say that it is populating the playlist. MP3 (had to also remove the supplied gstreamer and replace it) files and OGG files seem to load fine. This is bad since most of my music is in flac. I niced amarok to -20, and I seem to be able to play flac files, but there skipping. I\'m not running anything CPU intensive in the background, so I don\'t know why it does this.

Edit:Switched to slackware, and everything works.

I have the same problem using Gentoo. I have tried AmaroK 1.2.4 and 1.3.5.

What to do? I won\'t switch to Slackware ;o)

same problem here. Using Ubuntu dapper and amarok installed by the svn script and mp3 files hang my amarok...other types of music files run fine...
