I\'m just trying to build a deb with the svn code. There is a debian directory in the source but it doesn\'t work with it. I\'m not good enough to find out the reason for the failing of dpkg-buildpackage
The configure steps shows the following result: = The following extra functionality will be included: = + GStreamer-engine = + xine-engine = + XMMS Visualization Wrapper = + Konqueror Sidebar = + MusicBrainz Support Make is ok, then dch -v 1.3-svn20050725 svn build and the next build step fails with: dpkg-buildpackage -uc -us -nc -rfakeroot ... make[1]: Entering directory `/home/beavis/myth/multimedia/amarok\' make[1]: Nothing to be done for `reverse-config\'. make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/beavis/myth/multimedia/amarok\' patches: debian/patches/am_maintainer_mode.patch debian/patches/automake-1.6.patch debian/patches/bind-to-localhost.diff debian/patches/disable_no_undefined.patch debian/patches/gmo_files_at_build_time.patch debian/patches/some-binaries-in-usr-lib.patch Trying patch debian/patches/am_maintainer_mode.patch at level 0...1...2...failure. make: *** [debian/stamp-patched] Error 1 Can I just delete the patches directory: amarok/debian/patches? When I remove it it shows me: touch debian/stamp-autotools-files chmod a+x /home/beavis/myth/multimedia/amarok/./configure chmod: cannot access `/home/beavis/myth/multimedia/amarok/./configure\': No such file or directory make: *** [obj-x86_64-linux-gnu/config.status] Error 1 Are here any debian package experts? Would be great an up2date debian directory in the repository. |

Ok, when I look at the changelog is the debian folder really gone. So what\'s the new location of the debian directory? I can\'t check it anymore in my source tree.
There\'s also no starting point for all users wanting to build an svn deb now. |

Well, it is kind of your fault.
It\'s at: svn co svn://svn.debian.org/pkg-kde/people/dat ... unk/amarok We should probably document this somewhere, I\'m not sure where though.
