How to change default web browser?

Fri Jul 29, 2005 5:51 pm
Is it any way to change default web browser in amaroK? I do not use KDE and when I click on Search Lyrics button, I have an error:
[code:1]Could not launch the browser.
Could not find the service \'kfmclient\'[/code:1] I want it to opening in Firefox...

yeah, change to KDE

I\'ll never understand this :/
but well,
add to the file $HOME/.kde/share/config/kdeglobals, in the section [General] this line:
[code:1]BrowserApplication=!firefox[/code:1]

Annoyed with bbcode since 1999.

thanks apachelogger. I am quite happy with xfce, but amaroK is the best player among all available.

Anyway, I had to add [General] section, because it was not there. I restarted amaroK, but still got the same error. I guess I do not have to reboot the machine?

no, did not help...

I have looked up \'kfmclient\' and it is a part of konquerer, which I did not install because I do not need it and it requires basically to install most of kde.

is there any way not to use it?
