It seams like amarok (1.3b3 and older) has issues with handling ID3 tags,
i added another gerne for example and amarok just ignores it or accepts for that initial run and forgets it afterwards. I tryed setting that field with other programs but Amarok allways sees it as unknown for some reason. (or removes it) (Seams like ti doesnt like non numeric TCON Values.

Is it usind ID3 v1 or ID3 v2 ? (i try to save it in both tags)

also some UTF8 tags get anihilated some just have the wide char removed. (this i have to research further but i know that not even UTF8 tags entered thorugh amarok doent get saved )
Also files with UTF8 chars in filename amarok is unable to save
(howeve ri havtn seen any problem with reading)

If someone needs some more data ill try to provide it
