amarok 1.3 works fine, better than 1.2.x. Status bar is one (but irritating) problem

Hello!
I\'ve got this problem, too. I installed Amarok 1.3 from Debian packages. I noticed that Bergo and Maiden (and me) are using Polish translation - maybe that\'s the source of problem? |

Yes, we currently assume this is a problem with the Polish translation. Anyone want to contact the Polish translation team? I bet you can find the address with a bit of digging.

ok, I got the problem ... can somebody please check the fixed file http://dev.bit-freaks.net/apachelogger/amarok.po.zip
just unzip it and replace the one in your amaroK source dir then recompile (no need to make uninstall before) ... this should work as well: [code:1]msgfmt amarok.po > amarok.mo sudo cp amarok.mo `kde-config --prefix`/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES[/code:1] then just restart amaroK and the statusbar problem should be solved if it works please leave a note, then I\'ll commit it for 1.3.1 Post edited by: Apachelogger, at: 2005/08/20 12:51

[code:1]msgfmt -o amarok.mo amarok.po sudo cp amarok.mo `kde-config --prefix`/share/locale/pl/LC_MESSAGES[/code:1] Your way generated an empty „amarok.mo” file, and compiled „.po” file named „messages.mo”. And language code for polish is „pl” — „de” is german apachelogger wrote:
Yes, it works. Thanks. |
