Hello,
I am running Fedora Core 4 and when I run ./configure --prefix=`kde-config --prefix` I get the following: ... checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.3 and < 4.0) (headers and libraries) not found. Please check your installation! For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log. Checking what RPMs I have installed using rpm -qa | grep qt I get the following: qt-3.3.4-15.1 qt-devel-3.3.4-15.1 Can somebody help me please? Regards, Jack... |

Sorry, forgot to mention that I\'m trying to compile amaroK 1.3 from source.

run ldconfig as root if this doesn\'t help define the qt libs dir with a configure tag
Annoyed with bbcode since 1999.

I run ./configure --prefix=`kde-config --prefix` as root and got a step further. Now I get the following:
... checking for KDE... configure: error: in the prefix, you\'ve chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail. So, check this please and use another prefix! I get the same message when I run the following as a normal user (that is not as root): ./configure --with-qt-includes=/usr/lib/qt-3.3/include --with-qt-libraries=/usr/lib/qt-3.3/lib --with-qt-dir=/usr/lib/qt-3.3 --prefix=`kde-config --prefix` I also tried ldconfig as root, but nothing displays. Not sure what to do with this... I\'m a Linux beginner unfortunately... When I run make afterwards it says that there are no targets specified and no makefile found. |
