System:
SuSE9.1 with updated KDE3.4.2, Xfree86.
Story:
First amarok compiled and installed amarok 1.2.3, without gstreamer but with aRts and xine engine. Application run well.

Compilation commands used
~ ./configure --prefix=`kde-config --prefix` --without-gstreamer
# make
# make install

Second version compiled and installed amaroK 1.2.4, without gstreamer but with aRts and xine engine. Application run well. But If you look under the menu \"help- about amarok\", the version shown was the1.2.3 (why?)

Today I have compile the Versio 1.3, without gstreamer. After some problem with missing automake 1.9 Version and a libflac devel, the compilation run OK also the installation. The aplication but run only with aKode engine, no aRTS and no xine engine (Why?). Even this installation under the menu \"help-about amarok\" the version shown is still the 1.2.3 (Why?)

Question: before compile and install a new version it is necesary to delete the old files?. If yes where?

Only as information I have re-compiled and re-installed the Version 1.2.4.
Xine, aRts and aKode engines are available and in operation. The Version shown under the menu Help-About amarok is still the old onne 1.2.3

Why ? and how to oslve this.
i am a newby in this compiulation tasks.
