I\'m a new user of amaroK, but liking it so far! However, today something odd happened and I wonder if anyone else has seen it.
I\'ve been ripping my music collection, and because I\'m picky I\'ve been listening to every track after ripping the CD (to check quality). For that reason I didn\'t just want to leave it playing while I was not actively listening. So, I put the player on Pause & walked away for a few minutes. Suddenly it started making a noise like electronic drumbeats, very fast, but getting progressively slower. Pushing Stop did not cause the noise to stop, but it stopped when I actually quit the app. I am using GStreamer for output. I was ripping a disc with k3b while amaroK was paused. So far I have been unable to reproduce this event, but I am trying. Has this happened to anyone else? |

This problem is fixed in SVN, and the fix will be included in 1.3.1. GStreamer engine has been rewritten and is now faster and more stable.

Wow, I think that\'s the fastest reply I\'ve ever received to a trouble report!
It\'s also the freakiest thing I\'ve ever had a computer do while I wasn\'t looking, so I\'m glad it will be fixed in the next update. Soon I can remove XMMS (though I liked it for a long time) and lighten my system even more. Thanks very much! |
