I have just compiled a brand new 1.3.1 and... where is Alsasink output plugin? Now I\'m a little bit confused without it and do not know which outpud should I choose... I have fully integrated music card and I use pcm software mixer to enable sound from not only one source in the same time and it worked only if I choose Alsa for AmaroK.

the spelling is amaroK
gstreamer has been rewritten and alsasink is unfortunately broken, so you\'d have to use osssink but as you use software mixind that wouldn\'t work I\'d suggest to use xine

Any chances that Alsa output plugin will work in next releases?

Yes, I hope to be able to fix this problem.

BTW, the xine plugin never worked fine for me, the cpu load is always 100% when I try to play some mp3.
Before upgrading to the latest version: What\'s the most stable/recommended plugin? Reading the last changelogs seems like if the helix plugin had more bugfixes and improvements than the other plugins... |

note: helix is a quite new engine
the problem with helix/realplayer is that they don\'t care about alsa, so you need hardware mixing else you won\'t get any other output iirc xine is still the recommended engine
