When i install the newest version (Suse 10) i get the following conflict : Amarok needs mad ... can anyone tell me what this is ? i searched for it in the software library of Suse .. but nothing found

Libmad is a mp3 decoding library.

Your next step will be to install an engine.

If you build xine from source I think it builds libmad for you. If you get it via a dependency type thing, Im sure it\'ll add it.

If you already have an engine installed, make sure its a version that is allows mp3.
