Hello,

Thanks for a great program like Amarok.

I have been using 1.2 on my Debian box for a long time. I used Streamtuner to search for songs and then connected that to Amarok. However, now that I upgraded to 1.3.2 from Debian unstable I have a really weird problem that I hope someone has an idea about.

I use Amarok with Gstreamer-alsa 0.8. All the programs I tried could play all the songs I tried locally. They could also play shoutcast streams without problem. There is one exception. If I pick a new stream from streamtuner and Amarok starts to play it, the sound skips quite a bit and has this strange modulating sound to it. The graphical equalizer also stutters and pauses during updating. Now for the weird part. If I go to www.shoutcast.com and download the shoutcast playlist using Save Link As and then open it with Amarok by browsing my local drive for the .pls file, Amarok plays it perfectly! It is only when it is called from streamtuner that the sound stutters! This stuttering also does not happen when using the xine engine with Amarok even when loaded directly from streamtuner. In streamtuner I have it configured to use \"amarok %q\" as the command. This worked perfecty until I upgraded to 1.3.2.

Does anyone have an idea what could cause this behavior?

Followup information as I have worked on this during the day. The issue is not as reproducible as I thought. I have three cases. (1)Streams play fine when loaded from streamtuner or the .pls file off the hard drive. (2) Streams play stuttered when loaded from streamtuner but play fine when the .pls is saved to the hard drive and loaded. (3) Streams play stuttered from streamtuner but also when loaded off the hard drive. However, Kaffeine, noatun, alsaplayer all play the streams fine. Also, amarok plays everything fine when using xine which I have switched to for now.
