Need to be root to run from command line

Hi, I have installed amarok-1.3.2 from source, using the gstreamer engine and with enabled mysql support on Fedora 4. However I can only launch successfully from the command line when in root \"/usr/bin/amarok\". This launches amarok to the toolbar where I can launch, build the collection and listen okay. If I launch either with my own profile (not root) or from the menu (applications/sound & video/amarok) it freezes whilst trying to build the collection.

I\'ve not been using linux that long so really could do with some help on this. Has anyone come across this or know why it might be happening?

Thanks, Phil.

Have re-configured with xine-devel packages and seems to have solved problem.

Thanks, Phil.
