What engine are you using?

If its the helix engine (I heard they\'re hacking on something to allow it on 64-bit), please report this issue to Suse.

Ok, I\'ll report it. I am using the Helix engine becuase it\'s teh only one from initial install that supports playing of mp3\'s.

Thanks for reporting the issue to Suse. In the mean time, just figure out another engine to use.

I, too, am having this problem, however, the bigger problem is that GStreamer will not show up in the engine list! It\'s installed. I\'m running SuSE 10.0 64-bit. Any ideas??? Xine shows up, too, but I can\'t get it to play any sound...

Perhaps you\'ve installed gstreamer but not the amaroK gstreamer engine?

I had the same problem with SuSE 10.0 in both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions. After getting to the end of a song amaroK says the song is still playing, but doesn\'t advance to the next song in the playlist. The default installation uses the Helix engine.

I then installed the updated xine libraries from Packman, and changed amaroK to use that. Now it works normally.

i am having this problem also. its caused by the helix engine turning down the PCM volume everytime it starts to play a file. i would like to know how to keep it from doing this.
