I\'m using amarok 1.3.3, Debian Sarge 3.1 and KDE 3.4.2. I\'ve installed gstreamer and xine-lib as output plugins (arts isn\'t even installed). When I play music using amarok the sound stutters really often. It is horrible, \'cause sometimes it won\'t even stop. It usually happens when amarok is running in the background and I\'m browsing the web or writing a document or something like that. I\'ve tried gstremer as well as xine-lib as output plugins and all of them had those problems. I also tried to install arts but that didn\'t work either. I even tried to compile amarok myself but the problems were still the same.
Can somebody help me with this? |

I\'m having the same problem.. compiled everything.. Amarok, GSTreamer, xine..
after that, GSTreamer was a little better than xine, but it still stutters.. I liked AmaroK very much, it\'s Playlist is the best thing in the world... But I don\'t use it because of the stutter.. can anyone help?? is there a way to elarge buffer size in xine-lib or in GSTreamer?! maybe this could help... I\'m using a Pentium IV 2.4 Ghz, 256Mb Ram and my MP3 are in a FAT partition thanks in advance |

Personally, I\'ve had some stuttering problems with helix engine, but not with the others. it seems to happen during periods of high disk activity. Any other pattern you can come up with would be helpful.
