I have all the engines installed for amaroK, but it doesn\'t play the songs, it is just skipping the songs.
I am using amarok 1.3 on Ububtu 5.10 with xine engine and alsa output. The songs are on mounted windows partition.

Ubuntu, due to patents, doesn\'t provide mp3 decoders. Try to enable universe and multiverse pools in APT. Then install k3b-mp3 package (then arts will play mp3\'s)+ gstramer-plugins-multiverse (something like that).
