Hello,
i add several mp3s to my playlist (and play them , but on some of them I get the following error message in the console:
When I try to save the edited metadata of one mp3, amarok crashed with the message, that it could not find the kmail executable. Kmail is not installed, that is true, but why does it even need it? My first alsa device is the virtual midi device. Then I can\'t load the xine-engine and therefor can\'t change the output to another device. That\'s all for now |
|
uuhm... here are some versions
amarok-1.3.5 xine-lib-1.1.0-r6 direct alsa output, alsa compiled into the kernel: gentoo-sources-2.6.13-r3 kde-3.5.0_beta2 |
|
I have a similar error, but when try to load an album from the collection list.
Sometimes only freezes the amarok window and seconds later appears an window with an error (\"amarok crashes\" ... \"PID=xxxx\" ... and I don\'t know what more...), I accept the error and then the program is closed. The sound don\'t stop until I accept the error. Today wasn\'t found the cause of that... maybe somebody have the solution ? |

The kmail thing is the crash handler trying to mail us a backtrace. If kmail was installed, a mail with an attached backtrace would be created for you to send. Since kmail is not installed, you just get the error.

but, with kmail installed or not, amarok will crash ... I want to know why it crashes

I have the same problem. I haven\'t Kmail installed and amarok always crash with \"Could not find \'kmail\' executable\"
My configuration: 2.6.14-gentoo-r4 amarok 1.3.7 |
