I have looked through the forums, but have not found any posts of this nature. I am able to transfer files to my ipod, then eject my ipod. After ejecting the ipod I look on the physical ipod\'s music menu and a huge portion of my music is not showing up. If I go back into amarok and connect the ipod again, the music shows up in the media browser - just not on the ipod\'s music menu. Im wondering whats going on? Is my database getting corrupt? I have tried this with amarok since 1.3.3, and I get the same results each time.
Any ideas? |

Hi i2ambler,
you are using a nano, right? With the iPod support in 1.3 based on some kio code I had the very same problem. Should be fixed in 1.4-svn (the current development version), which uses libgpod from gtkpod for interfacing with iPods. |

I am using a 40gb ipod photo. I guess i can try the new 1.4-svn.. I just hate to install some pretty unstable stuff..

Yep - got the same issue here - ipod mini 6GB - exactly 256 songs left on the Ipod-Menu. The others are gone. Amarok though sees it well.
Using amarok 1.3.6 under Gentoo with KDE 3.4.3 |

Same problem here, using the Nano (4GB) on Amarok 1.3.5
Bug report here: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115506 Promises to be fixed in 1.4 according to replies within bug thread. |

Does anyone happen to know the release date for 1.4?

I\'m getting the same error on a 4th gen 40Gb iPod (not photo). Now I know it\'s a wider issue, I feel more at ease.

Same problem:
No more than 256 Songs Data: Amarok 1.3.6 Kubuntu 5.10 iPod Mini 6 GB, software 1.4 Well, just use gtkpod; lacks the style of amarok, but it works. And this bugs will surely be fixed. |

OK Same Problem here only 256 songs. nothing more however I am using a 4th Gen 40 gig IPOD. Works fine in gtkpod.

Hey all,
I\'ve begun using iPodLinux on my 4G iPod (not photo,) and all of the songs that I thought were missing or corrupted in the Apple firmware are still on my iPod and they still play fine with iPodLinux. However, the computer won\'t \"see\" the iPod when connected and booted in iPodLinux. Only the Apple firmware will do that. I am using Apple firmware 1-11-06 and iPodLinux with kernel and podzilla from the 1-10-06 nightly builds. Using Amarok 1.3.7 on FC4. |

Hi,
I am also having problems with Amarok since the 1.4 betas and my 60gig photo ipod. When the ipod is connected and mounted, Amarok instantly does something to wipe all the songs except one artist from the menu's database. All the tracks appear as invisible. Here is a screen shot - http://img462.imageshack.us/img462/1107 ... ed4ro2.png When the ipod is unmounted and ejected, only that one artist shown in the image appears on the ipod's artist menu. I boot into windows and use anapod to restore everything and it is all back to normal. This does not happen with any other application such as rhythmbox for linux. I don't even have to play a file from the ipod for this to happen. This never happened with 1.38. I am using Kubuntu and this has occured with the 1.4 betas, release and is happening with the new 1.41 release. Any ideas how I can fix this? Thank you. |
