I had problem with the Lyrics Fetching, so I tried to upgrade amaroK via apt-get.

But now when I start amaroK it tell that:

[code:1]amaroK could not initialize the helix-engine. Please check the paths in \"amarok Settings\" - > \"Engine\"[/code:1]

And now nothing plays.

How can I solve this problem?!
Help please!

Had the same problem and upgrade Amarok. But it is not Amaroks fault. Search for lyrics and you will find a \"soution\" for the problem. Unfortunately I have a german version of Amarok but I will try to translate it . You must look at the Settings for the Audio-Output. There you can select the Helix. Here you have to tell where the Codec , Base and Modul Folders are (e.g. Suse /usr/lib/Realplayer10) Thats It
