Hello.
I recently installed Amarok on Ubuntu with Gnome. I foolishly right-clicked the Amarok taskbar icon and selected \"remove from panel\" (Gnome panels having no clickable area whatsoever...). Now the Amarok taskbar icon is gone, and try as I may (restart, toggle the \'show in taskbar\' option, etc.), I cannot get it back. Might anyone know a fullproof way to get the nifty icon back short of doing a full reinstall? (This originally was caused by an effort to remove the ugly Gnome drag bar next to the Amarok icon; perhaps a feature could be added to remove it?...) Thanks. |

I think you removed the system tray, you cannot remove the amarok Tray icon without closing amaroK (at least not for releases so far).
Right click on the panel and choose \"add\", then \"applet\" and finally \"System Tray\". This should do the trick. Marcel |

Apparently Gnome doesn\'t have a system-tray applet to add... =\\ At least not by right-click->AddToPanel

Have a look for \"Notification Area\" in the \"Add to Panel\" thingy. This is as close as I can find, being a non-gnome user.
