where\'s my amarok?

Fri Dec 09, 2005 8:48 pm
hi there

I used to have debian stable, but I just moved to testing ( I didn\'t know amarok wasnt in testing...). After that, I\'ve downloaded the tar file, uncompressed it, and I have succeded in the \"configure\" and \"make\" steps.

My question is, where is the binary file for running amarok?I\'ve searched in my home folder, in etc, in var...it\'s probably a totally newbie question, but I really miss amarokB)

thanks in advance

Make sure you\'ve installed it (\"make install\" as root), and watch the compiler output closely. Did it actually finish or were there errors?

If all went fine, you should be able to start the app by typing \"amarok\" on the shell (as user, not root).
