CHANGE ALBUMCOVERS FOLDER?

Tue Dec 20, 2005 4:57 pm
is it possible to change the albumcoversfolder:

~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/albumcovers/

to another location on my hard drive ??

i dont want to save the cover files in my \"/\" directory because i want to save it on another partition.

or is there a way to map this folder to another? in linux in general?

I have my album covers on my server, with the directory mounted under ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/albumcovers/ .

Re: SOLUTION

i found out the solution. for everyone who\'s interested:
the solution works with the \"mount --bind olddir newdir\" command:

in root console type:

mount --bind ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/albumcovers

\"~\" stands for your home directory like /home/user

to autostart this action on every systemboot add the following line to your /etc/fstab :

~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/albumcovers none bind
