Streaming Radio Help

Thu Dec 22, 2005 5:00 pm
Trying to play the stream from KEEP in Bandera Texas. Under play lists I right click on Radio Streams and click to add a radio stream. I put the call sign of the station in the name field and the url of the stream in its field like so:

http://nick8.surfernetwork.com/Media/TexasRebel.asx

I add the stream to the active playlist by dragging and dropping in the window to the right. Nothing happens, nothing appears in the window. I have noted this behavior before with other streams so I double click on where the entry should appear and nothing happens. What\'s up with that?

I may be wrong, but I do not think amaroK supports *.asx streams. If memory serves (which is a bit hit & miss) asx is a Windows media format.

have you tried double-clicking on the station in the playlist manager to load it into your current playlist?

I\'ve noticed some streams won\'t launch unless I start them that way... dragging and dropping doesn\'t work.
In fact, thinking about it, that\'s probably worth a bug report if I can quantify it... :S
