Ok i just recompiled amarok 1.3.7 with xine-engine only and now when I try to play a song I get an error: KDEinit could not launch kmail executable . Then amarok crashes.... what is going on? why does amarok need kmail? Any way I can get amarok going without kmail?

amaroK doesn\'t crash because it can\'t find kmail, It tries to start kmail because it crashes (it uses kmail to send backtraces (crash reports) to the dev team). Your problem is something else, have you tried another engine?
