When choose other output engines (german \"Audio-Ausgabe\") I can coose different engines (xine, gstreamer, aRts) at the top of the window. But when I then chose one of them the configuration form, which should be shown beneath, just doesn\'t apear. So when I chose xine (which plays mp3s fine with own gui) amarok puts me a failure, that xine can\'t open audio device and gstreamer will be used. but also gstreamer has no confige form and will not get any sound out of amarok.

please help!

You need to press the \"Apply\" button of the dialog to actually load the selected engine and show its configuration.

I of cause did that! But the config form is not shown

Hve you found out why xine will claim that it cannot use the audio device? Do you run arts sound-server or something similar?
