Please help me troubleshoot this great player ...

After having read the suggestions in this forum as well as the FAQ on this topic... I am still having problems to play mp3 with amaroK on SuSE 10.0 OSS.

The mp3 plays (according to the progress timer in the lower right hand corner but I get no audible result.

amaroK version 1.3.8
Sound System is configured to use GStreamer Engine with output engine osssink
(no values for device or parameters).

Troubleshooting with:
gst-launch filesrc location=/home/myhome/my.mp3 ! spider ! audioscale ! audioconvert ! osssink
works as expected and sounds very nice

How do I proceed in troubleshooting this ? Any suggestions or perhaps a fix ?

i have the same problem, but i started to use linux yesterday...

if anyone can find the solution please post it!
