Hi all,

i got a few problems with amarok hanging when playing some MP3s. Other MP3s play fine though, only a few that i have problems with. So i launched it from shell to see if any error messages.

i got the following messages when starting up:

Qt: Locales not supported on X server
amaroK: [Loader] Starting amarokapp..
amaroK: [Loader] Don\'t run gdb, valgrind, etc. against this binary! Use amarokapp.
Qt: Locales not supported on X server
Qt: Locales not supported on X server
kbuildsycoca running...
qstring_to_xtp result code -2
qstring_to_xtp result code -2
QLayout: Adding KToolBar/mainToolBar (child of QVBox/unnamed) to layout for PlaylistWindow/PlaylistWindow
qstring_to_xtp result code -2
qstring_to_xtp result code -2

And the following messages when the freezing occurs:

qstring_to_xtp result code -2
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (!prev): 0x08b1ac78 ***

Then when i force quit after the freezing:

X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3
Major opcode: 7
Minor opcode: 0
Resource id: 0x3000037

Even when i close it normally straight after launching it (i.e. in a separate test, without playing the errant MP3 as above), i get some messages:

QObject::disconnect: Unexpected null parameter
QObject::connect: Cannot connect (null)::activePartChanged( KParts:: Part * ) to KHTMLPart:: slotActiveFrameChanged( KParts:: Part * )
QObject::disconnect: Unexpected null parameter

QObject::disconnect: Unexpected null parameter
QObject::connect: Cannot connect (null)::activePartChanged( KParts:: Part * ) to KHTMLPart:: slotActiveFrameChanged( KParts:: Part * )

Any advice on what those messages mean? And what should i do to get round them?

TIA and Regards,
Edwin
