Cannot transfer songs to 5g iPod Video

I am using amaroK 1.3.1 and cannot send files to my iPod. The iPod is mounted at /mnt/ipod, as it should be, and amaroK can see the files that are already on the iPod (I used iTunes in WindowsXP to put them on the iPod). When I click \"Transfer\", the progress completes to 100%, then amaroK hangs, and the songs are not actually on the iPod. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

support for 4th/5th generation ipods in amaroK 1.3* is broken. 1.4-svn fixes that.

btw, you should upgrade in any case: 1.3.1 is very old, lots of bugs have been fixed in 1.3.8.

How can I get 1.4-svn? How functional is it (are there a lot of bugs that still need to be worked out?)

we work hard to make sure that you get new bugs every day. but in general, there are no serious complaints.

to get it look for the amarok-svn script, it will do the work for you. before running it, however, you will want to install libgpod (www.gtkpod.org) for the ipod support. have also a look at the multimedia/amarok/README when you have the source checked out.
