i am using arts. of course, any normal application including xmms, skype or firefox can use arts, but no, amarok, such a good software can\'t!!! it is so good, that it just hangs and freezes.

Looks like an aRts issue (which isn\'t supported anymore). We recommend xine-engine instead.
(and make sure you\'re using the latest stable amaroK version).

gxine works, but common - arts is not supported??? eh, the largest usage sound system in KDE is not supported?
