I\'m not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but it has been frusterating to find help on the web. I came up with nothing.
Here\'s my problem. Once in a while when I\'m trying to import songs onto my ipod amarok will ask me if I want to overwrite a file. It will do this with any file I want to import, and it will keep doing it until I either overwrite or rename the file. After that it will stop doing this for a few files, but then the problem comes back. The thing is, If I rename the file; it will get copied onto the ipod, but when I pick the song that just has been copied, the ipod will play the song that it was originally trying to overwrite. Any thoughts? Oh and I am using amarok 1.3.8 on Ubuntu, using an ipod nano 4G. and on another note, is amarok supposed to crash when you try to launch an mp3 file straight from the ipod using konqueror? |

Hi,
there are known issues with 4th gen and newer ipods with amaroK 1.3*, the symptoms you are describing look like you have hit such an issue. This very probably won\'t be fixed in any of the subsequent 1.3 releases, however we are planning on releasing a tech preview of amaroK 1.4-svn very soon. If you\'re willing to accept a couple of rough corners and some instablities, then you could the ipod support in the upcoming version. There, these problems are fixed. Martin |
