First is the stuttering problem. Whenever I play high bitrate (240+ VBR MP3s or flac files) files it starts to stutter after a little while... a few minutes usually, it changes from file to file (I\'m not even sure if it\'s consistent for the same file, but it may be).

I\'m using ubuntu with an nforce 2 soundcard and 2 gigs of memory.

xmms does not appear to have this problem
I looked at the amaroK wiki FAQ and tried using dmix to fix the stuttering but:
it didn\'t fix it, no matter the buffer size I used
wine/Rosetta Stone won\'t work with dmix (apparently)

It\'s possible that I didn\'t get dmix working correctly but I\'m pretty sure I did, sometimes my troubleshooting gets a little convoluded and I get confused. Anyhow, lets assume I did, any ideas?

And the ipod problem is that amaroK closes when I try to add or remove files. Could the be permissions? I\'ll try running amarok sudo and see if that fixes it, any ideas would be much appreciated:D
