ok here is the whole story..
I have a newer IPOD (only bought it after a friend showed me this software), as a advid non windows user I was proud to see a good looking and in most cases great working software for Linux.. I set up my ipod on my Mac and bought some TV shows I missed while on travel. I uploaded them with itunes 6. I then had amaroK compiled on Gentoo so I though I would give it a try. I noticed two things after the upload. one the ipod name was chaged to amaroK (probaly a setting I am missing) and two all videos uploaded from itunes stoped showing up as video, it showed as music and woudl not play, I had to use Itunes to remove the video and reapply. This is a minor headache, and I have a rutine of removing video, uploading songs, go to my Mac and reapplying the movies. AmaroK must be overwriting a flag in the ipod DB that points to them as a movie(video) if anyone knows what I did wrong please let me know. thanks |
