corrupt itunesdb

Thu Feb 09, 2006 4:32 am
I really want to love this Amarok thing but I\'m having a hard time doing so. I have a 60GB 5G ipod which is detected just fine. I can play songs from it and so on. As soon as I use amarok to write to the ipod (upload a song) and eject my ipod, the ipod reports only about.... a fifth of the music that should be there. The music is not deleted by Amarok, I can rebuild the itunesdb with gtkpod and then it\'s fine again...

Is there a reason for this? Is it the 5G support? Is this a known issue? I couldn\'t find any info on the forum.

Strnagely enough, the covert art was kept for certain albums and completely removed for other albums. Any help on that too?

Thanks! (sorry if this is a re-post)

There is a known bug in amaroK 1.3* with 4th gen and newer iPods: it will only work up to 256 songs. You probably hit this issue.
1.4-svn has reworked iPod support, where this issue is solved.
