Hello,
I\'ve just upgraded amarok to 1.3.8 from Debian unstable, using KDE 3.5.1 (also upgraded). When I ran amarok, it just sat there doing nothing. \"strace amarok\" revealed that it was waiting for a DCOP process, so I deleted the ICE and DCOP files as described in the KDE installation instructions about upgrading KDE. Now, amarok still doesn\'t start, but it displays the splash screen and then seems to be waiting for amarokapp. \"strace amarok\" gives: ioctl(3, FIONREAD, [0]) = 0 gettimeofday({1139775052, 130209}, NULL) = 0 select(14, [3 4 5 12 13], [], [], {0, 0}) = 0 (Timeout) gettimeofday({1139775052, 138052}, NULL) = 0 waitpid(3605, 0xbfa1e6b0, WNOHANG) = 0 ioctl(5, FIONREAD, [0]) = 0 repeating forever, as far as I can tell. The process with PID 3605 was amarokapp. Any suggestions? Thanks, Richard |
