Using a fresh (post-beta) SVN: amaroK SVN 0602121356
Situation: 1) A Smart Playlist that randomly sorts all tracks where genre includes \"rock\" - Smart Playlist is Expanded by Year (Most years have a load of tracks, but 60\'s only have 2-10 tracks 2) A Dynamic Playlist that grabs tracks from this Smart Playlist (I select the full general Smart Playlist, ignoring the by Year expansion which I use in other ways.) This works, generally. However, the Dynamic Mode seems to be taking into account the individual \"by Year\" expanded lists. When a Year \"runs out of tracks\" that haven\'t been recently played, an error message pops up instead of just grabbing something from a different year. As I selected the \"general\" Smart Playlist, not individual years, this doesn\'t seem to be the correct action to take. This may be because when creating a Dynamic Playlist, if you select a Smart Playlist that is expanded, it marks all the individual expansions as well. That seems redundant if selecting the Main Smart Playlist since everything in the expanded ones are played by the main one. Perhaps it\'s treating every individual expansion as a separate playlist. Even if that\'s true, in dynamic mode, if there\'s more than one playlist to choose from, shouldn\'t it automatically check the other playlists if one \"runs out\"? |
