KDE headers error

Mon Feb 13, 2006 4:49 pm
hi there, first things first, how come amaroK 1.3.8 is not supported by KDE 3.5.1 Level\"a\" on SUSE 10.0? Well I can live with that, so I downloaded 1.4beta 1, but I have tried to configure it by running ./configure --prefix=\'kde-config --prefix\' and I get an error message:

...
checking if Qt needs -ljpeg... no
checking for rpath... yes
checking for KDE... configure: error:
in the prefix, you\'ve chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix!

I thought I have headers installed , but as it appears I don\'t
Can someone point out the library that I need for this to work, please? :)

I have installed the needed tools and config went fine although it said it is noy going to install most of the features but never mind, however it said that i can run make. After i ran make command i had this list at the end
make[4]: *** [libamarok_ipod-mediadevice.la] Error 1
make[4]: Leaving directory `/home/Alex/Programms/amarok-1.4-beta1/amarok/src/mediadevice/ipod\'
make[3]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/Alex/Programms/amarok-1.4-beta1/amarok/src/mediadevice\'
make[2]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/Alex/Programms/amarok-1.4-beta1/amarok/src\'
make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/Alex/Programms/amarok-1.4-beta1/amarok\'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

I presume that is an error, but im not an expert in installin amarok ... any suggestions :)
