i just installed amarok 1.4 beta1 today and when I start amarok, it tells me that it can\'t find libqtextra.so.1 (no such file or directory). any idea what could be wrong?

The exscalibar install target doesn\'t update the shared library cache. Run ldconfig (/sbin/ldconfig in Fedora) as root after installing exscalibar and you should be good to go.

Yes, after adding the path to the libqtextra.so.1 (here: /usr/share/qt3/lib) in /etc/ld.so.conf it really works. (using Ubuntu, you have to create this file manually)

Another solution is written down, in the excalibar\'s INSTALL file (yes, I know, rtfm  )

put this path in $LD_LIBRARY_PATH and you\'re done....

Now I have nifty, colourful bars in my playlist :side:
