Amarok 1.4 beta1 bugs - Mandriva rpms

Sun Feb 19, 2006 12:01 pm
Its still bugged, often crashes...
It doesnt close properly, after listen some music and exit amarok, I must kill it on Processtable. The same was in 1.3.8 (1.3.2 which cames with mandriva worked and closed correctly).
And it still doesnt play aac+ streams and I must use VLC player.
And equalizer sux, its unusable. Look at Xmms and VLC equalizers, they are much much better.

Im using Amarok 1.4 beta1 xine-engine.
My distro: Mandriva 2006 powerpack with KDE 3.4

This sounds like a packaging problem rather than a problem with amaroK itself. The machine used to build these packages is a 2006.0 fully updated to the Community tree sources, so maybe there is a small difference that causes some instability. I will look into it. Can you tell me your version of xine?

I have got these packages installed:

1.4-beta1.1.20060gm
amarok-engine-xine 1.4-beta1.1.20060gm
libxine1-1.1.0-8mdk
xine-plugins-1.1.0-8mdk
xine-arts-1.1.0-8mdk

I got the same problem with: amarok-1.3.8-2.2006mcnl.i586.rpm and amarok-engine-xine-1.3.8-2.2006mcnl.i586.rpm
It stays in ProcessTable (amarokapp) after close.

B.T.W. Is there any way to improve equalizer and add aac support?
