I realy hate this !!!
I use amarok for playing wav files. I try to add dirctory to my playlist amarok just scan all files and subdirectories in this dir and build several playlists. Up to here everything was fine, but when i try to remove this several playlists amarok just delete all not just playlist files, but all my music files (about 11 Gb).

I think this is real nasty.
I\'m mad about this.

I try to reproduce this one more time and ONCE more all content was deleted.

Don\'t try this will erase all your\'s music. :pinch:
Click on playlist (middle left tab) then right click on playlist (red folder) then Add Playlists, then select directory that containt music files, this will create new playlist. Now if you try to delete this playlist this will be delete files to.

@developers - I hope that this bug will be fixed soon guys.

By the way i like amarok i think that it\'s a best player

I forgot to write my amarok version

amarok 1.4-beta1
(Using KDE 3.5.1)
Slackware 10.2

Probably this is not bug, but it\'s very nasty feature. :)

I am trying to re-create your problem, but I am having trouble adding a playlist using the method you describe here. When I select add a new playlist after right-clicking the folder, the open file dialog is looking for a playlist files, not music files, so I cannot add. Can you try and clarify what you did? Were you opening an existing playlist (eg. .m3u file) or were you using a directory with nothing but music files in it?

i can reproduce this somewhat: when adding a playlist, select a single mp3 file - you will get an entry below Playlists in the playlist browser for this single file. if you delete this entry, the file is gone too.

Strange, this is exactly what I did, but amaroK wouldn\'t let me choose something that wasn\'t a playlist. I\'ll try again.

Okay, yup, I recreate it too. Seems to me that amaroK thinks the folder is the playlist, so when you delete the list, the folder gets deleted. Maybe you shouldn\'t be allowed to add a folder as a playlist, since it isn\'t a playlist anyway.
