THIS IS AN EDIT OF A PREVIOUSLY SUBMITTED POST
I am using amarok-1.4-beta with Mandriva-2006 and kde 3.4.2 that comes with it. I am unable to play RealAudio files *.rm from a radio stream (http://kanga.college.columbia.edu/ramge ... st/wkcr.rm ). I check ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/xine-config and the pointer to real codecs are missing. I enter the path of real codecs and close the file. If I try to play the stream, I again get the diagnostic no plug-in available.... If I look again in the same xine-config file, it will have been completely regenerated which removes (or rather-- doesn\'t enter) the path to the codecs. I am unable to enter the bug at kde.org because my version of kde is \"old\", and the \"bug may have been fixed in a later version.\" Kaffeine, using the same xine engine (1.1.1), plays the stream perfectly. Also, amarok, using the helix engine plays the stream, but helix has some other bugs that make me not want to use it. Can anyone please provide a solution? Thanks in advance. |
