I think this is related to gapless reproduction (which is working great BTW)
With gapless reproduction, 2 or so seconds before the song finishes, amaroK displays the OSD of the next song, I guess here is when it starts loading the next song o something.
The problem is the last song of the playlist (or if you have a programed stop), 2 or so seconds before the song finishes it shows the OSD saying that the playlist is finished and there is a very noticeable gap there, after the gap, the 2 or so seconds remaining are played and the song finishes.

Other than that, the new version is looking very nice, super stable for me and the new features are great.
