If I add tracks to a playlist is there a way to save it with the same name. The only dialog seems to be save as which means I have to type the name in again or did I miss something obvious?

You can drag and drop tracks from the \"left\" playlist into a already existing playlist in the playlist tab. This will get saved immediately.

I see you can also drag tracks from the collection up to the playlist tab as well then put it in the playlist of choice, thats quite cool. Better I think than just saving the playlist you are playing.
