No tracking of times track is played

Fri Mar 03, 2006 10:36 pm
Hi all,

I just need to stop and say, the 1.4 beta is a HUGE step forward, and I adore amaroK even more than I did initally. That this program is in Linux and not available for Windows, hahahahahahaahahahaha! Those poor fools!
Anyway, as one who wishes to help make amaroK the best of the best even more so, I noticed a slight bug in the beta today. amaroK is no longer tracking how often I play songs, or what are my favorites. No matter how many times I play a track, it tells me in the context window under the musicbrainz icon, \"never played before\".
Not that this is even close to a critical bug, but I thought I might toss it out in the forum to see what other think, or if they are experiencing the same thing.

Thanks

anthrem

P.S. - I attached a jpeg to show you what I am talking about - take a look if you like!

Never mind, email me if you want to get the jpg, the forum won\'t let me post - I think I need to ratchet down the quality of my jpegs.

I have the same problem from long time (introduced in early 1.4 SVN). This affects only MySQL engine. Playcounts and score is not stored in the database, bul all the rest can be modified and stored.

Command line says:
kdecore (KAction): WARNING: KActionCollection::KActionCollection( QObject *parent, const char *name, KInstance *instance )
QLayout: Adding KToolBar/mainToolBar (child of QVBox/unnamed) to layout for PlaylistWindow/PlaylistWindow
amarok: [PluginManager] [WARNING!] [static amaroK::Plugin* PluginManager::createFromQuery(const QString&)] No matching plugin found.
