version: 1.4-beta2
engine: xine Hello! I\'m using Suse9.3 and apt4rpm. If I remember correctly after the update to version 1.4-beta1 amarok performed an automatic conversion of my collection. I think it crashed once or twice until it finally ran through. Since then the playcount and the rating system is broken. Basically everthing is working fine and the old values (ratings/playcount) are still displayed. They are just not updated any more. Nothing changed after the update to beta2. Any idea how to fix this without having to reset all my old stats? Thanks! These are the files in the ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok directory. In all my greatness I found the solution:
In amaroK database, add to table \'statistics\' column \'rating\' of integer type. |

Thanks for your reply. The \'rating\' column was indeed missing. I added the column \'rating\' with the SQLite Database Browser ( http://sqlitebrowser.sourceforge.net/ ). After that the database shows the following behavior:
- When starting a song which has the playcount 0 a new entry is generated and after that the playcount 1 is displayed correctly in Amarok. - Starting this song or any song with playcount >= 1 creates an !extra! entry in the database with the correct new playcount. Amarok will nevertheless show the old database entry. I\'ve created a backup of my collection, deleted it and let Amarok create a new one. It is now working, but the stats are obviously lost. |
