Specific podcast locks amaroK

Sun Mar 19, 2006 12:50 pm
I\'ve got one podcast that I wish to subscribe to, and it causes amaroK 1.4 (both beta 2 and current SVN) to lock (or, more accurately, send I/O through the roof and force me to kill it). When I add this podcast, an entry for it gets added to the Podcast menu, and the name appears as \"Fetching podcast\" with the little arrow circle, but it never is able to bring up the name of the podcast from the feed - the HD light on my laptop goes solid and the system bogs to a standstill until I kill the process.

The podcast feed is here: http://www.gamerswithjobs.com/taxonomy/term/318/0/feed

Other podcasts have no problem. I tried moving from 1.4 beta 2 to SVN in an attempt to see if doing so would fix it.

The strange thing is that I\'ve had this particular podcast working on the 1.4 betas previously, but now I get this problem. Something about the feed may well have changed between then and now. I\'ve tried deleting all the amaroK related files in subdirectories of my $HOME, and I\'ve now built both beta 2 and SVN, and every time, each time I try to add that podcast, amaroK goes nuts.

Make a bug report please. We devs can\'t really keep track of the forum.
