amarok recently started crashing for me and currently will not start. I\'ve tried removing it and all the config files and information from the ./kde directory and reinstalling it, but the problem persists.
when I start amarok from the terminal, I get errors similar to this: [code:1]amaroK: [Loader] Starting amarokapp.. amaroK: [Loader] Don\'t run gdb, valgrind, etc. against this binary! Use amarokapp. kbuildsycoca running... QLayout: Adding KToolBar/mainToolBar (child of QVBox/unnamed) to layout for PlaylistWindow/PlaylistWindow QPainter::begin: Cannot paint null pixmap nashife@uPenny:~$ kio (KIOConnection): ERROR: Header read failed, errno=104 kio (KIOConnection): ERROR: Header has invalid size (-1) kio (KIOConnection): ERROR: Header read failed, errno=104 kio (KIOConnection): ERROR: Header has invalid size (-1) kio (KIOConnection): ERROR: Header read failed, errno=104 kio (KIOConnection): ERROR: Header has invalid size (-1) kio (KIOConnection): ERROR: Header read failed, errno=104 kio (KIOConnection): ERROR: Header has invalid size (-1) X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 7 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x340003b [/code:1] and then the terminal just hangs. I\'ve also had shorter errors, with much less information but both times the lines \"QPainter::begin: Cannot paint null pixmap\" and \"Don\'t run gdb, valgrind, etc. against this binary! Use amarokapp.\" are present. I have no idea what gdb, valgrind, etc are or what amarokapp is. I can\'t find information about this error through google. Anyway, the only thing that I have recently done differently that I can think of is that I started using an ipod, and I was successfully able to stream music from my ipod through amarok. Thinking that this was related, I tried mounting my ipod again and starting amarok, but there is no difference. Anyone have some idea? |
