amarok 1.3.8 with xine engine
I just got a SLVR phone and it works with iTunes and all that jazz. I know I could probably copy music to it with 1.4, but then I wouldn\'t be able to play it through the phone\'s iTunes, because it needs the iTunes DB file and whatnot. I\'m wondering if there\'s any way I can trick amarok into thinking that my phone is an iPod so that it can create the necessary files. Does amarok just look at the file structure in /mnt/ipod, or does it actually check the device name? |

Actually the file structure is supposed to be a little bit different - see a recent posting on the gtkpod-devel list at sourceforge. I\'m not sure, but as long as everything of your database on the phone is in place, you might be able to treat it just like an ipod, if you use a recent libgpod from cvs. This should include the capability of handling itunes phones.
