Amarok 1.4-beta2
using Xine v0.99.4

Releases audio device when I press STOP. :)

Does not if playlist comes to an end :(

Does never. Which would not be a problem if all apps in Linux would use alsa (and so dmix). But some do not (flash player, Realplayer etc).
I agree with you on this!
