slackware 10.2 with kde 3.5.2

I got taglib 1.4 installed and gcc 3.3.6

You also have an older TagLib installed in a different path. You need to remove that.

Thanx for your help! You were right, there was an extra set of taglib includes in /opt/kde/include. beta3 is looking damn good!
