I had amarok 3.8 running great on my Fedora Core 4/Planet CCRMA KDE system with a M-Audio Delta 44 card.
Then I upgraded my soundcard to an RME Hammerfall with the Multiface II. amarok 3.8 started to play songs about 1/4 of the way, then stop, complaining of a Gstreamer error . . . something about ALSA xruns. Then I compiled and installed 1.4beta2 with no errors, fired up amarok, and it said \"unable to use Gstreamer/ALSA\" and defaulted to the \"null\" \"void\" engine. In the engine configuration window I no longer see Gstreamer or Xine or anything - just \" If anyone can help me I will reward you with hooo-raaaays! Thanks |
